Indivisible's National Strategy for November Midterms
Indivisible.org, the No Kings Coalition and other a organizations are working toward a huge turnout for the November election and are calling on groups of people everywhere in the country to vote early.
Join the Indivisible No. Quabbin Gathering at 11:45 this Saturday (8/29) in the Park to discuss Indivisible and No Kings Strategies for Early Voting and large events.
Planning for Early Voting, Voter Protection and October National Event regarding November Election. We will need many people to work on event planning for October.
"Hands Off Our Vote is Indivisible's national program to ensure all eligible voters get to cast a ballot and that those ballots get counted."

Indivisible groups in Massachusetts and around the country are gearing up to work on early voting and working to have a huge turnout for the November elections. These Zoom one-hour trainings organized by Indivisible.org are an excellent way to get started on both early voting and voter protection.
In Massachusetts early voting for November takes place between Oct. 17th and Oct. 30th. Start now to check with your town clerk to find out the actual times for early voting in your town.
Protect the Vote
Several groups and organizations are working on voter protection and offering trainings for people to be poll watchers. Poll watchers are needed to push back and demonstrate to voters and the administration that we are determined to have a free and fair election. Sign up to be trained. This link takes you directly to an online recording of a training you can do and then take a short quiz. They will then contact you about scheduling a time and place to be a poll watcher. It is difficult to know what may happen between now and the November Election, but organizations such as ACLU-MA (https://protectthevote.net/?source=ACLUM) and Common Cause are training poll watchers to make sure all eligible voters get to vote.

August 28th, Friday at 9:30 -- Connie Pike and Mike Magee will host another great Postcard Party at their home (110 Holtshire Road, Orange). Please RSVP at 978-544-6651. Packets of 15 stamped postcards may be purchased for $10 (covers cost of materials and stamps). If you would like to purchase postcards, bring cash. There will be some available purchased by a donor.
Voter Registration -- People working in pairs are scheduling times to sit at a voter registration table outside Market Basket. People from Indivisible No. Quabbin may do more work on
voter registration at Mount Wachusett Community College this fall. If you are
interested in working with the voting team, please email

Mutual Aid Work Continues -- Collection of Items for Orange Food Pantry at Saturday Stand Outs
Stand Outs on Saturdays this summer also meant putting out the Orange Food Pantry bin for collection of personal care and other items to deliver to the local food pantry that is open on Thursdays (10-3) and Saturdays (12-2). Someone from the Stand Out delivers a full bin to the pantry each Saturday. The Orange Food Pantry serves150 households on many Thursdays and can use personal care items (cleaning supplies, toilet paper, feminine supplies, etc.)

Coming together for Conversations, Forums and Films
August 20, 2026 -- Film Showing of "Living Through Fear"
Twenty-five people recently gathered to watch and discuss the film, "Living Through Fear: The Resilience of Immigrants in the United States." This was the first of several events we plan to organize for the community and members of Indivisible No. Quabbin to learn about the many issues confronting people today. Senior students at Four Rivers Public Charter School in Greenfield filmed and produced the film (52 minutes) in 2026 about immigration in New England. Thurs., Sept. 24, 2026 - 6:30-8:30 -- Community Conversation with State Sen. Comerford
Join us at the Fisher Hill School (59 Dexter St.) in Orange for a conversation with Sen. Comerford on the many issues that concern us regarding food security, access to health care, education. A time to hear about the work of the state and also hear questions and concerns from North Quabbin residents.
Future events -- Let us know if you have ideas for monthly events in the future. Some ideas people have include: Showing of film - "The Librarians" with discussion led by a librarian about book banning; discussion of "Money: What does it all mean in terms of those with a billion and those with only a few hundred?"
