Stand with People Across the U.S. to Vote and Protect Democracy
In small towns, large and small cities, we stand together to celebrate our voting rights and defend democracy in this November's Election. People in the North Quabbin region can help with getting out the vote. There are many other ways you can help including:
- Attend the October 17th event from 11-12:30 at Memorial Park (So. Main St. & Water St.) in Orange. Gather with us for a joyful, family-friendly and informative No Kings-Vote Early Block Party! We are celebrating our precious right to vote. Rally with friends and neighbors in a non-violent gathering. There will be opportunities to check your voter registration, register to vote, and sign up to do election protection work. Parking is located behind the Court House.
- Building Community with Neighbors Helping Neighbors -- Indivisible North Quabbin will continue with their support of the Orange Food Pantry. Bring personal care products (e.g., toilet paper, etc), and other items. Help us fill the barrel.

Actions to Take to Help with No Kings - Vote Early Oct. 17
Make a plan for voting for candidates running in the November Mid-Terms. The Massachusetts ballot is long so make your voting decisions now. There are other ways you can help make October 17th a success here and across the country. If you can lend a hand, we need your help!
- Help make signs that focus on VOTING. Join with others at our final sign-making activity on Friday, Oct. 9th from 5-6:30 p.m. at the 1st Universalist Church at 31 No. Main St. in Orange. We have signs you can help finish or work on your own. Some supplies provided.
- Sign up to be a "Voting Ambassador" on Oct. 17th. Voting Ambassadors will talk with people in the crowd to give out voting related information and also talk with people about the possibility of mass mobilizations if there are major disruptions with voting and certifying the votes. We want to be ready to send emails to people about any mass mobilizations that are called for on a national level. Watch for emails in the coming weeks.
- Help set up for Saturday, October 17th -- tables need to be set up and other work done in the park.
- If you have ideas for children's activities that you can do to help make the day fun and family-friendly, email us at indivisiblenorthquabbin@gmail.com.
Building a Non-Violent Movement to Defend Democracy
Indivisible and other groups that are part of the No Kings Coalition to Protect the Vote and defend democracy will gather across the country on Saturday, October 17th. This is all part of a huge nonviolent movement. People participating in the Indivisible North Quabbin event are part of this National Day of Action to celebrate free and fair elections in the United States. We ask you to follow a few guidelines for this event and all our events:
- If confronted by angry, yelling counter-protestor(s) -- Don't Take the Bait! Remain calm and do not engage with them. If you need help see someone in a colorful orange, blue vest (peacekeeper).
- Reminder on guidelines for a peaceful event -- Do not engage in yelling, shouting or disruptive behavior.
- All Indivisible.org events are based on commitment to nonviolent action. This includes Indivisible No. Quabbin and all participating in this National Day of Action to get out the vote. We want participants to welcome new people as we build bridges to protect our democracy and fight back peacefully. Keep America Alive and Free!
